Orbital Marine Power’s Lead Technician, Ryan Doull, has been shortlisted for the ‘Project Development Award’ at the Scottish Renewables Young Professionals Green Energy Awards 2019.
Joining Orbital as an electrical technician during the build of the SR2000 2MW, he quickly progressed to Lead Electrical Technician, and as a result of his attention to detail and hard work is now leading a technical team across a range of disciplines.
Dan Wise, Orbital’s Head of Offshore Operations said:
“From the outset, Ryan showed an eagerness to take on additional responsibility, and his leadership skills were clearly apparent. Ryan has demonstrated a versatile approach to his career being equally happy working in harsh offshore environments and became a key member of the Operations and Maintenance team during the SR2000 project.”
Throughout 2019, Ryan has been contributing to construction and operations planning for Orbital’s upcoming commercial model, the O2 2MW to support optimisations in the turbine’s assembly, outfitting and maintenance processes.
The awards ceremony will take place on the 30th May in Glasgow.
